If you have a household full of crap like I do.. You tend to hoard things and not chuck them out. When your forced to chuck a few things out its often better to try and sell them on Ebay. But then again there are still things that people do not want to buy... like Hair Trimmers and tiny PS2 NumberPad Keyboards.
Oh well. at least some of my computer gear still sells well on ebay. Wireless access point went for 60$ and its over 2 years old. WOOT!

First Post For 2008
I don't really have much to say its starting to get busy around the joejoeinc household there are parties to organise (No thanks corey I do not need your help, you loser). Things to be setup for the engagement party.
I did come across this nice news story and thought it is worth a mention on my smal blog.
Photo Clues Lead to Camera's Owner
I've recently put a desposit on this Samsung TV which i'm hoping to buy real soon. You see we've lost the TV in our house and want to replace it. My thinking is we replace it with something decent. I'm insisting on a good TV here as to try and semi future proof it for when DVD players are dead and HD stuff is the norm (3-5 years).
Anyway I'd better get back to work.

SFC prompts for the Window XP install CD
When running a SFC /Scannow Windows may prompt you for the windows XP Installation Media if it can't find the source.
You'll either need to put the media back in the source location or you can adjust the registry to point to a new source.
Copy your I386 folder to somewhere and then adjust the registry as following
In this example I’ve copied the I386 folder to c:\i386
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
Check the following keys.
Installation sources = c:\i386
ServicePackSource: = C:\
SourcePath = c:\

I am 'so' going to blog this when I get home.
Ok, so I sometimes fix printer faults.. you know remove paper jam's ex cetera. Well today I was fixing a LaserJet 9000MFP and found a lot of paper jammed in the fuser. when i inspected this paper after removing it the paper had dark burn marks all over it. this concerns me as i thought there might be a risk the printer catching fire if the paper were to get hot enough. So i sent the following e-mail to HP.
To my amazement HP replied the same day. But as you'll see below the response is written in HP Engrish.
What a way to avoid the question.. It still doesn't answer my question will this printer catch fire?
Subject: LaserJet 9000MFP
Message: I recently cleared a paper jam from the above MFD. I had to pull out paper from the fuser area. While inspecting the paper that i removed from the printer i noticed the paper was very yellow (burnt colour). My question is if paper jam in the fuser area occurs is there a risk of the fuser and paper causing a fire?

Joe's Farewell
A fitting farewell to David Jones needs a suitable environment in which to say goodbye. There's nothing like the tradition of Windsor (or should i say the New Windsor). So come one and all to yee old Windsor Pub to cheer a goodbye drink and welcome the next step in some bloody direction (perhaps a step in the Y axis direction).
