When running a SFC /Scannow Windows may prompt you for the windows XP Installation Media if it can't find the source.
You'll either need to put the media back in the source location or you can adjust the registry to point to a new source.
Copy your I386 folder to somewhere and then adjust the registry as following
In this example I’ve copied the I386 folder to c:\i386
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
Check the following keys.
Installation sources = c:\i386
ServicePackSource: = C:\
SourcePath = c:\
